Our Story

It Started With a Kid Named Isaac

Hi, I'm Isaac. My dad builds robots for a living. His company makes machines that help blood testing labs sort and handle samples for blood banks all over the country. Setting up those robots means he has to travel and stay for weeks at a time, and on one of those trips, my mom and I went along. We needed something fun to do.

That's when we found an indoor sandbox. I was hooked from the very first shovel. But my parents noticed something else: it was quiet. No loud music, no flashing arcade games, no meltdown on the car ride home. I was totally absorbed in building things, and my parents could actually hear themselves think.

We couldn't stop talking about it. So my parents brought the first indoor sandlot to Georgia: lots of clean sand, plenty of trucks, comfy chairs for the grown-ups (with coffee and donuts from our neighbors next door), and a calm room where building and creating is all the entertainment we need. That became Isaac's Sandlot, right here in Chamblee. My mom, a certified school psychologist turned entrepreneur, designed our programs and brought the vision to life right alongside my dad, and now they each run a local business of their own. From the mural on the wall to the name on the sign, it's proudly locally owned and run by our family.

Then our friends fell in love with the idea too, and they named theirs after their daughter. That's how Chloe's Sandlot in Kennesaw came to be: independently owned by another local family, with a little help from us getting it started.
